The main objective of The Tale Teller is for children to have fun while learning. Each story has been developed and written with the specific age group in mind. The Tale Teller uses the power of story, image, dance and song to aid understanding, while entertaining and encouraging learners to participate in the adventure of learning another language!
- Performers are 100% native speakers and professional, experienced actors.
- We can come directly to your school, you don´t need to hire a theatre or organise coaches to transport your students.
- We can perform in small spaces and for small groups.
- We are an environmentally friendly organisation, and when we can, we always use public transport to get to your school. However, for those schools impossible to reach by public transport, we can use a car.
Sophie Heydel is a storyteller, theatre director and drama workshop leader. She was born in London, England and studied Acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She worked as a professional actress for many years in the U.K and Europe. Since becoming a storyteller, she has told stories throughout Catalunya, Euskadi, Valencia, and Zaragoza. She is a qualified English language teacher (CELTA) and has taught English to all ages and levels.
Sophie also runs The Drama Factory, theatre classes for children in English.
Jenny Beacraft is an actress and theatre teacher. Originally from Chicago, USA, she studied acting at Carnegie Mellon University USA and Ecole Philippe Gaulier, France. She has performed in various cities throughout the the US and Europe and is a member of theatre company Teatre de l’Enjolit. Jenny received her CELTA from IH Barcelona and has designed ESL drama courses and taught in various public and private schools in Catalunya to both children and adults.
